Steer wrestling is way harder than it looks, too. Two cowboys, on horses, run full gallop along both sides of a calf and when the moment is right, the cowboy to the left of the calf, leaps off his/her horse and grabs the animal by its horns flipping it over on its back. Back in the day this was done to hold the calf down for branding and shots.
